USG People provides specialized employment services in Europe focused on the market segments general placement, specialist placement, professional placement and projects, HR services and customer care. Various services are offered from a number of independent operating companies.
USG People has asked METRI to support decentralizing of its IT. The sourcing strategy was based on the following key issues: cost reduction, smart sourcing (SaaS, cloud) and decentralization to the countries concerned to provide them with more flexibility.
The aim of the new sourcing strategy is to create IT solutions that better support the USG People core labels and maximize the local growth potential.
As a part of the sourcing strategy METRI has examined the international suppliers’ landscape. In close cooperation with the USG People team, a long-term business case was developed and a landing zone was determined. Finally, a program plan was developed, including the possible transition to alternative suppliers. The next phase consisted of the implementation of the program plan and the business case by carrying out the underlying projects strictly. METRI also supported the local supplier selections for hosting and hosting services in Germany and in France.
An alternative sourcing strategy was developed and implemented. USG People selected several (new) suppliers and the program plan with the underlying projects was satisfactorily implemented.
